The iSTAR Team

Our story

The heart of the iSTAR journey is a shared passion for surgical innovation, research and education. Our group began when a dedicated group of surgeons from Liverpool Hospital and Campbelltown Hospital came together, united by a common vision.

Recognising a growing need for enhanced and collaborative surgical research, we set out to create a platform where expertise and collective efforts could flourish.

Driven by a commitment to advancing surgical practices and mentorship, we combined our extensive experience and resources to build a dynamic community, focusing on research and teaching. Our core aims are to inspire, empower and motivate the next generation of surgeons, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous learning.
