The Innovation, Surgical Teaching and Research (iSTAR) group has existed since 2024 to promote surgical research and teaching.
The iSTAR Research Gala brought our surgical community together to celebrate curiosity, mentorship, and the shared pursuit of better patient care through research.
With a keynote address by Professor Les Bokey, we all reflected on the strong spirit of progress - particularly within the world of colorectal surgery - that continues to drive our trainees and research teams forward today.
We were proud to showcase our research and the future of surgical innovation, and grateful to everyone who contributed to making the night such a success.
